Among them are:- (a) The circular despatch (almost illegible) from Safvet Pasha, as Foreign Minister, in reply to the Protocol of the Powers of 31 Mar. 1877 (printed in Accounts and Papers, 1877, XCI, pp. 427- 437); 10 Apr. 1877. f. 24;- (b) A telegram from Queen Victoria to the Sultan Abdül Hamid II ( printed in The Letters of Queen Victoria, 2nd series, 1926, ii, pp. 640 - 641 ); 19 Sept. 1878. f. 50.
(2) Memoranda relating to Egypt, apparently connected with the two visits paid by 'Ali Fuad Bey:- (a) as bearer of the firman to the Khedive Tevfik on his accession, 30 July 1879, a copy of which is at f. 87 ( printed in T.
