H. Receipt by Sir Henry Ellis, Principal Librarian of the British Museum, to Sir Wathen Waller, executor of the will of the Hon. Mrs. Anne Seymour Damer, the sculptress (d. 28 May 1828), for a snuff-box presented to her by Napoleon Bonaparte, and bequeathed by her to the British Museum (now in the Department of Medieval and Later Antiquities, registration number 1828, 11-1, 1); 1 Aug. 1828. Preceded (f. 15) by a probate valuation of the snuff-box by Messrs. Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, the jewellers, 31 July 1828. Part of lot 51, Christie's sale-cat., 15 Dec. 1947. ff. 15-16.
