As follows:-(1) 'We watched her breathing thro' the Night', part-song for S.A.T.B.; 1876. ff. 1-2;-(2) Exercises in four-part writing in chorale tunes; 17, 19 June, 10 July 1879 (f. 9). ff. 3-1lb;-(3) Five sacred part-songs based on chorale tunes: 'Komm süsser Tod', 'Kein Stündlein geht dahin', 'Gib dich zufrieden und sei stille', 'O Traurigkeit, O Herzeleid', and 'Erschienen ist der herrlich Tag' (cf. Add. MS. 46860, ff. 17-18b); circ. 1882-1884 (Florentine paper). Apparently published (cf. the engraver's markings on f. 15, etc.). Followed by sketches for these (ff. 20-31) and other miscellaneous works, including a canon for organ, 'O Gott du frommer Gott' (published as no. IIb of Short Choral Preludes, 1913), f. 24b. ff. 12-32b;-(4) Nine rounds with German words. Two autograph sets. ff. 35-40b;-(5) Songs:-(a) Partsong, 'Wie ich dich kaum gesehen' (cf. the words of 'Im Volkston', Add. MS. 46860, f. 21 b); circ. 1882-1884 (Florentine paper). Imperfect. Second soprano and first and second alto parts. ff. 41-43;-(b) 'Denke, denke mein Geliebter'. ff. 44b-45b;-(c) 'Sur les lagunes'. Imperfect. ff. 46, 46b;-(6) 'Lieder und Balladen', op. 3, and 'Lieder', op. 4; circ. 1886. Both sets published by Peters, 1886, from these manuscripts which bear the plate numbers '6880', '6881'. ff. 47-69b;-(7) Eight anonymous songs to German words. Copies. ff. 70-83b;-(8) Copies of two works by Johannes Brahms, the song, 'Botschaft', op. 47, no. 1, with the dedication (not in Brahms's hand) 'Der nachsichtigsten und besten Interpretin zur freundlichen Erinnerung vom dankbaren Componisten Leipzig Mai 1882', and the duet, 'Edward', op. 75, no. 1. ff. 84-91b.
