EGMONT PAPERS. Vol. CCLXII (ff. iii+134). Egmont MS. 266. Notebook of Sir Richard St. George, Norroy King of Arms; 1613-1616. The principal contents are:-(1) Memoranda relating to receipts of knights' fees, 1615-1616. ff. 2-3b, 7;- (2) Extracts from escheats, feet of fines, etc., concerning the families of Baskervile, Walter, and Drockenford. ff. 1-80 passim;-(3) Notes on sermons by Dr - Wilson, Lecturer at the church of St. Andrew, Holborn, on Acts IX, 5, 6; 28 July, 1 Sept., 1616. ff. 130b-127 (reversed). Most of the rest of the volume is blank except for a contemporary foliation. A 17th cent. label 'No. 1' on the front cover (now f. ii), and pencil notes in a modern hand signed 'D.C.E.' on a flyleaf (f. iii). Brown leather binding with gold-tooled motifs.
