Copy, watermark 1843, agreeing generally with the text printed ibid., vii, pp. 252-253, but showing the same verbal variations as the other versions listed ibid., vii, p. 502. f. 180;-(b) 'A New Order of Chivalry', a poem from the novel Gryll Grange; watermark 1850. An additional stanza is included at the end of Part I and there are a number of verbal variations as compared with the text printed ibid., v, 1924, pp. 181-184. ff. 182-192;-(c) 'A Dialogue on Idealities', with corrections and excisions: a longer and apparently complete version, with different names of characters and a medieval rather than a classical setting, of the text printed with the title 'A Dialogue on Friendship after Marriage', ibid., viii, 1934, pp. 447-451, from a draft, watermark 1859, in Add. MS. 36815, ff. 191-200. On f. 193 is a note of ownership, bef. 1875, by Lord Broughton's daughter Charlotte, wife of Dudley Wilmot Carleton (4th Baron Dorchester 1875). ff. 193-207.
