NEW PALAEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY PAPERS. Vol. I (ff. 170). Correspondence, etc., addressed almost entirely to Sir George Frederic Warner, G.C.B. (ff. 1-128 passim), and to Julius Parnell Gilson (ff. 61- 170 passim); 1900-1928. During their successive terms as Keeper of Manuscripts at the British Museum, first Warner (1902-1911) and then Gilson (1911-1929) acted as Honorary Treasurer of the Society. Both were also editors, Warner until 1915 and Gilson from 1911 until his death in 1929. The letters addressed to Gilson included a series from Sir Edward Maunde Thompson, President of the Society at its foundation and an editor until his death in 1929 (ff. 61-170 passim). The names of other writers are given in the Index to the present Catalogue.
