MEYERSTEIN BEQUEST. Vol. II (ff. ii+17). The date '1581' occurs at the end of a number of items (ff. 5, 6, 6b, 12b, 14b) and comments such as 'Good', 'Good'. Written in a practised copyist's hand, with ornamental pen-work borders, cadences and endings. Two fragments used as flyleaves (ff. 1, 17) once formed a single leaf containing four pieces of music, including one (f. 1) with incipit 'Tyme', written partly by the same copyist in a less careful hand. Miscellaneous papers relating to the present manuscript are in Add. MS. 47843, ff. 119- 123b. Paper. 95 mm. x 145 mm. After A.D. 1581.
