Petition to the King (P.Lond. I 45, UPZ I 10, TM 3401)
- Scope & Content:
-
Petition to the king and queen by Ptolemaeus, son of Glaucias, 'secluded' (katochos) in the Serapeum in Memphis. Not only did his neighbours demolish a paternal house located in the Herakleopolite nome, carrying off the goods, but they also used the space as their own. As Ptolemaeus is not able to leave the temple, he asks that his petition should be sent to the strategus so that he may summon the accused. UPZ I 11 is another draft of the same petition.
