Magical text containing an invocation to the Gnostic deity Bainchoch; the first line, then repeated in line 12, is iambic. On the back there is a sketch of two figures: a baboon and a divinity (Horus or Harpocrates?) with hawk head holding an ‘ankh’ in his hand.

Dimensions: 95 x 279 mm. Housed in a glass case measuring 155 x 330 mm.
Script: Uncial hand with cursive tendency, irregular with several blunders.

Origin: Egypt.
Provenance: Egypt. Purchased with Papyri 121-125 from Bywater, Tanqueray and Company on 12 May 1888. The papyri had been brought from Egypt by Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (b. 1857, d. 1934).
