(2) II 11a, TM 64578, LDAB 5808): Magical text, Apollonius of Tyana’s old serving woman, with instructions on how to evoke a goddess, and have her turned into an old woman who will be at the service of the person using the spell. Assigned to the fourth or fifth century.

A fragment of a light-brown papyrus roll, bearing writing on both sides, along the fibres on the front and across them on the back. Damage is located along the vertical folds. The front preserves three columns, the third of which is mutilated; upper and lower margins are extant. The back contains two columns, which are complete; all margins are extant. The intercolumn is irregular. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.

Provenance: Egypt. Purchased with Papyri 121-125 from Bywater, Tanqueray and Company on 12 May 1888. The papyri had been brought from Egypt by Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (b. 1857, d. 1934).
