Upper papyrus (P.Lond. II 139a, TM 19949): Copy of a receipt issued by Chaeremon to the three farmers who are cultivating his land, acknowledging the payment of the rent for part of the land. Dated to 23 August 48.
Lower papyrus (P.Lond. II 139b, TM 11624): Certificate issued to Panephremmis, son of Papeis, for the five-day work he performed on the dykes at Soknopaiou Nesos. With the signature of Corax at the end. Dated to 13 June 51.

Two papyrus sheets that do not belong together, mounted on cardboard in one glass case.
Upper papyrus (A): Light-brown papyrus sheet, complete, with slight damage along the vertical folding lines; writing is on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. The text consists of 12 complete lines; all margins are extant, the right being irregular. The blank space at the bottom measures 73 mm.
Lower papyrus (B): Small papyrus sheet, complete, with slight damage at the bottom. Writing is on one side along the fibres, with the back being blank. There are 7 complete lines, and all margins are extant, the upper being minimal. Vertical folds are visible.

Dimensions: A: 174 x 123 mm; B: 73 x 140 mm. Housed in a glass case measuring 305 x 190 mm.
Script: A: Irregular and strongly marked hand of medium size, occasionally compressed at the end of the lines. B: Neat and pracrised upright cursive hand; more cursive and thinner hand for the subscription.
