Upper portion of a long slip of papyrus, broken off at the bottom and left, and darkened in places; damaged by abrasion and holes, with occasional loss of horizontal fibres at the bottom. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. Parts of 10 lines are preserved. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Dimensions: 88 x 559 mm; housed in a glass case measuring 140 x 610 mm.
Script: Careful and well formed book-hand of fair size; with slight cursive tendencies; thin and mostly upright; with occasional serifs; small cursive hand for date in line 1.

Provenance: Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 139-176 from the Reverend Greville John Chester (b. 1830, d. 1892) on 2 February 1891.
