Orsenouphis of the village of Bakchias petitions Gaius Vitrasius Pollio, prefect of Egypt, as regards the possessions that his father had bequethead to him and his brothers. After their mother’s death, their elder married sister had taken possession of the furniture and utensils, and Orsenouphis asked for assistance to recover them.

Light-brown papyrus sheet, damaged by holes mostly located in its right portion. The text runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. There are 27 lines; the last is written in the right edge. All margins are extant, with no blank space left to the right. Folding lines are visible. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Materials: Papyrus.
Dimensions: 277 x 156 mm; housed in a glass case measuring 325 x 205 mm.
Script: Clear upright hand of fair size, mostly detached, with a tendency for letters to be compressed and more cursive at the end of the lines and at the end of the text. Lines are slightly uneven.
