Receipt in duplicate form whereby Petronia Sarapias, under the guardianship of her brother, acknowledges that she has received the repayment of 400 out of 1,000 drachmas, which formed her dowry, from her ex-husband Iulius Apollinarius, soldier in the First Apamean cohort of the century of Iulianus. She retains the right to claim the outstanding sum. With subscription of Petronia at the end, written by her brother Gaius Petronius Marcellus as she is illiterate.

Two papyrus sheets, written on one side along the fibres, with the back being blank. Mounted on cardboard in one glass case.
Left papyrus (A): Almost complete, imperfect at the bottom right edge and with few holes; slight abrasion and surface damage in the upper portion. The text is complete and consists of one column of 27 lines. The blank space at the bottom measures 60 mm.
Right papyrus (B): Broken off at the bottom and lacking the upper left edge, with few small holes and slight surface damage in the middle; well preserved as to the rest. One column of 32 lines survive, the last three lines being mutilated. Upper and left margins are extant; no margin was left to the right.

Dimensions: A: 244 x 119 mm; B: 250 x 119 mm; housed in a glass case measuring 305 x 295 mm.
Script: Somewhat rough semi-cursive hands, that of B being larger; with subscription at the end, rough and irregular, written by Gaius Petronius Marcellus.
