Fragments of a tax register arranged in columns, each entry listing the tax-payers, with patronymics and matronymics, and the amounts collected stated in drachmas. The sums are multiples of 4, ranging from 4 to 12. An oath testifying to the exactness of the report made by Apollonius is found in Papyrus 181(1), fragment 1, column 2. The payments are made to the public bank and concern the village of Kerkosis.

Three fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, written on one side along the fibres, with the back blank. The fragments are mounted on cardboard in two glass frames, named Papyrus 181(1) and Papyrus 181(2).
Papyrus 181(1): Two fragments: the right fragment contains the ends of the lines of a column and the left portion of another column; the right fragment contains the line endings of a column and two further columns, damaged at the bottom. The last column is also damaged at the right. Part of the upper and lower margins survive, and the space between the columns measures up to 30 mm.
Papyrus 181 (2): one fragment containing parts of three columns; of the first only some of the line endings survive; the second column lacks the beginning; of the third only the beginnings of some lines remain. The surface is damaged throughout, especially to the left and right. The lower margin and the intercolumns survive.

Dimensions: Three fragments of varying size: Papyrus 181(1): left fragment: 147 x 107 mm; right fragment: 143 x 264 mm; Papyrus 181(2): 160 x 182 mm. Housed in two glass cases named Papyrus 181(1) and Papyrus 181(2) measuring 205 x 445 mm and 205 x 270 mm respectively.
Script: Medium-sized cursive hand with some detached letters.
