Fragment of a petition addressed to Gaius Caecilius Salvianus, the senior judicial officer (dikaiodotes), from an inhabitant of Karanis, who requested that his share of his father’s property be returned to him. The inheritance was apparently being held by his mother and her new husband, who was a soldier.
