Recto (TM 19971): Portions of a document, quite defaced, of which dates remain. Dated in 237. At the end, additional text was written in the reverse direction.
Verso (TM 64088, LDAB 5306): Presumably a homily on the treatment of slaves, quoting in column 4 Genesis 14:17. With cursive writing in the right margin of column 1 and an account at the end of column 4.

Two fragments of dark-brown papyrus of varying size, rubbed in places and with insect holes; written on both sides, along the fibres on the front and across them on the back. The front bears remains of lines mutilated on all sides; at the bottom, few lines were written in the reverse direction. The back bears remains of four columns, mutilated throughout; 32 lines remain of column 1, 7 of column 2, 14 of column 3, and 11 of column 4; additional writing is found at the end of the fourth column and in the upper right margin of column 1. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.

Script: Recto: Small, rapid cursive hand; thicker cursive hand with a slight slant to the right at the bottom; Verso: Thick semi-cursive hand; small cursive hand for annotations in the margin of column 1; rough cursive hand at the end of column 2.
