A letter to Abinnaeus from Aetius, who informs him that corn, oil, goatskins and other articles have been dispatched to him through various intermediaries, among whom some Libyans. He also asks about some soldiers who had come to him. The address is on the back.

Fully preserved papyrus sheet, written on both sides along the fibres, the back bearing one line. Upper, lower and left margins are extant; the right is minimal. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.

Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, or Dionysias, meris of Themistos, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 229-255 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 14 January 1893.
