Documents from a ‘pasted roll’ (tomos synkollesimos) containing five documents:
Recto:
From left to right:
- Detached fragments and beginning of the larger fragment with traces of writing;
- Column 1 (preserved on the larger fragment): Receipt for shipment of 1718 and a half artabas of grain to be conveyed to Alexandria. The receipt, dated to 29th October 15, is acknowledged by a pilot of a public vessel and addressed to Acusilaus, sitologus (director of the granary) of Lysimachis, and belongs to his archive (P.Lond. II 256A, Chrest.Wilck. 443, TM 11657);
- Column 2 (on top of the sheet): Epigram of fourteen verses in elegiac metre relating the entry of Augustus into Egypt after the Battle of Actium; dated to 25 BC-5 AD (P.Lond. II 256 B = P.Lond.Lit. 62 = Aevum Antiquum 11 (1998), p. 280, TM 63120, LDAB 4324, MP3 1853.1);
- Column 3 (written in the lower part of the sheet under column 2 in reverse direction) : Order from Faustus, an imperial slave, to Acusilaus to deliver seed grain to the demosioi georgoi (public farmers); the receipt belongs to the archive of Acusilaus and is dated to 20th November 11 (P.Lond. II 256 E, Chrest.Wilck. 344, TM 19975);
-Column 4: One broad column with an unpublished document dated to 35th year of Augustus, (5-6 AD), damaged (P.Lond. II 256 C descr. (TM 19973);
-Column 5: At the right-hand end of the larger fragment, one column containing an order from four local officials to deliver seed grain to certain public farmers; the names of the latter with the specific amounts are listed from line 15 to the end. The order, dated to 11, is addressed to Acusilaus and belongs to his archive (P.Lond. II 256 D, TM 19974);
Verso, Column 1-10: Declamations and rhetorical exercises (progymnasmata) written by an anonymous author and arranged in ten columns. Corrections and annotations are made by the same hand that wrote the text. Two declamations are on cases where foreigners are involved and one on a case of theft; the progymnasmata concern various laws (P.Lond.Lit. 138, TM 63121, LDAB 4325, MP3 2515).

Papyrus fragments of various sizes from a composite roll, with the larger fragment being made up by joining several sheets of different dimensions, originally distinct; written on both sides, containing several columns in various hands not fully preserved. One sheet in the middle of the roll was arranged in the reverse way to the rest, so that its verso lies with the recto of the rest of the roll.

Script: Various hands. Recto: A: Thick and well-marked uncial hand, with a few ligatures; B: Neat uncial; C: Rough semi-cursive hand; D: Neat cursive hand; E: Rather larger, well-marked semi-uncial hand; Verso: Small cursive hand, rich in abbreviations.
