Parts of the official returns written by Heraclides, amphodarch of the quarter of Apollonios’ Camp in Arsinoe, of which further portions are to be found in Papyrus 261 and P.Vindob. G 19976. The full text comprises 45 surviving columns with lists of inhabitants of the quarter liable to various taxes; these were drawn up by the same hand; Papyrus 260 contains lines 507-703 of it.
- Papyrus 260 (1): Five columns of Greek text; the first four contain names of adult males aged between fourteen and eighty; the fifth column is a summary of 173 names. Demotic writings were added in the blank space;
- Papyrus 260 (2): Eight columns written in Greek, continuing the returns and listing boys below fourteen years of age. Demotic writing was added in the blank space and on the first two Greek columns.

Two large fragments from a papyrus roll, written on both sides in Greek and Demotic, and housed in two glass frames; on the recto, 13 columns in Greek are preserved, although only a few traces of the last survive. Occasionally we see Demotic text written above the Greek one as well as in the blank space of the recto. The verso bears Demotic writing. The recto of the papyrus contains lines 507-703 of the same document of which further portions are to be found in Papyrus 261 and P.Vindob. G 19976.

Dimensions: Papyrus 260 (1): 285 x 1450 mm; Papyrus 260 (2): 285 x 1390 mm. Mounted in two glass frames measuring 425 x 1590 mm and 425 x 1540 mm respectively.
Script: Fine and carefully written semi-cursive of medium size.
