Three receipts, one for work performed on embankments and two for payment of customs dues.
Upper papyrus (A) (P.Lond. II 316a, TM 11695): Penthemeros-certificate, certificate for the requisite five-day work on the dykes, issued to Stotoetis, son of Apynchis, and dated to 26 July 153.
Lower left papyrus (B), (P.Lond. II 316b, TM 11696): Receipt acknowledging the payment of customs-dues by Pecysis on account of the tax for the protection of the desert routes on wine passing the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos. Dated to 6 September 154.
Lower right papyrus (C), (P.Lond. II 316c, TM 11697): Receipt acknowledging the payment of customs-dues by Herieus on account of the tax for the protection of the desert routes on one donkey passing the gate of Soknopaiou Nesos. Dated to 8 September 145.

Three papyrus sheets, square-shaped, written on one side, the back being blank; mounted on cardboard in the same glass case.
Upper papyrus (A): Complete but with damage, especially in the centre; there are 8 lines, written along the fibres. All margins are extant, the right being minimal.
Lower left papyrus (B): Complete, with few small insect holes and minor surface damage; darker along the upper edge; there are 5 lines written along the fibres; all margins are extant.
Lower right papyrus (C): Lacking the lower corners and with some surface damage; there are 7 lines written across the fibres. Side and upper margins are minimal, the lower is damaged.

Script: A: Lines 1-4: Thin and rapid cursive hand sloping to the right; lines 4-8: neat upright cursive hand; B: Somewhat rough upright cursive hand; C: Thick, rough upright hand, with some more cursive sequences of letters.
