- Scope & Content:
-
A petition addressed to Demetrius alias Harpocration, strategus of two divisions in the Arsinoite nome, by Stotoetis, son of Stotoetis, of Soknopaiou Nesos, concerning an act of extortion perpetrated by Sotas and his son Ammonius. Stotoetis was forced to hand over the documentation concerning a contract of sale, of a pledge and of a loan of 400 drachmas in the name of his sister, which were transferred into the name of Sotas’ daughter. Stotoetis had already appealed to other officials and now petitioned the prefect Munatius Felix; he asked Demetrius that a copy of the petition be served to his opponents.
