Memorandum from the Abinnaeus Archive (P.Abinn. 42, P.Lond. II 422, TM 32679)
- Scope & Content:
-
End of a memorandum from Romanus to Geladius, two military officers, the beginning of which is contained in a Geneva papyrus formerly published as P.Gen I 79. Geladius, who is going to Arsinoe, is reminded to look for a certain Cronius, a barber who had escaped from Lykopolis after having pawned other people’s pledges. Should Geladius deny, a local military will be informed and Geladius will be imprisoned. The man is also responsible for a theft of camels, and his wife is being detained. The summary is on the back.
