Papyrus sheet, fully preserved, written on both sides, along the fibres on the recto and across them on the verso. The surface is damaged in places and the writing is washed out occasionally. The recto contains two columns, the first of which much defaced, the second fully preserved; the verso has a complete column, crossed out, and remains of text washed out. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.

Script: Different hands. Recto: Upright hand of fair size; Verso: Various hands, with the month in line 1 written in a small rapid cursive hand, and the document written in larger cursive hands.

Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, or Dionysias, meris of Themistos, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 401-447 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 15 May 1893.
