Fragmentary papyrus sheet, broken off at the bottom and damaged along the horizontal folds; writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. Upper, left and right margins survive, the side margins being minimal. 25 lines remain, some of which are mutilated. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Script: Neat and overall regular cursive hand of medium size, occasionally compressed at the end of the lines.

Provenance: Bakchias, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 401-447 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 15 May 1893.
