Lower Papyrus (P.Lond. II 469a, TM 11752): Receipt acknowledging that a certain Valerius has paid the customs dues at the gate of Philadelphia on account of the tax for the protection of desert routes. Dated to 25 December 133. With remains of the seal.
Upper Papyrus (P.Lond. II 469b, TM 28053): A second-century receipt acknowledging that Anubion has paid the customs dues at the gate of Karanis on account of the tax for the harbour of Memphis. Dated to 30 Mecheir (Nov. 24 or 25), year four of an unnamed emperor.

Two small papyrus sheets that do not belong together, housed in one glass case.
Lower papyrus (A): Papyrus sheet of small size, complete; the text, which runs along the fibres, occupies the upper half of the sheet. All margins are extant, with the blank space at the bottom measuring 25 mm. Remains of a clay seal are visible. The back is blank.
Upper papyrus (B): Square-shaped papyrus, complete, although slightly damaged at the top. The text, running across the fibres on one side, is complete. The margins are minimal.
