A report addressed to Demetrius, strategus of the division of Herakleides in the Arsinoite nome, from Apynchis, a collector for the crown-tax in Soknopaiou Nesos, listing the sums received for the month of Mecheir of the current year. The entries consist of the individuals who had made the payments and the amounts stated in drachmas, with the final total. With subscription of Apynchis at the end.

Nearly complete papyrus sheet, lacking part of the right half and slightly damaged along the left edge; writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. The text consists of 30 lines, lacking the endings. Left, upper and lower margins are extant, with the left being irregular; at the right, no margin seems to have been left. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Dimensions: 218 x 79 mm; housed in a glass case measuring 270 x 130 mm.
Script: Proficient and fast cursive hand, with a slight slant to the right; in lines 25-29, wehere the date is given, the hand is smaller, uneven and more cursive; rough, unexperienced detached hand for the subscription at the end of line 29 and in line 30.

Provenance: Soknopaiou Nesos (Dimeh), meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 465-481 from Bernard Pyne Grenfell (b. 1869, d. 1926) in June 1894.
