A letter to acknowledge receipt of hay written by Serenus, perhaps the same cavalryman mentioned in line 25, and concerning cavalrymen of the squadron (turma) of Donacianus, of the ala veterana Gallica. The full list of the cavalrymen of the squadron, recorded by their nomina only, follows.

Light-brown papyrus sheet, written on the recto along the fibres, the verso being blank. The top (4 mm), the right (3 mm), the left (4 mm), and the bottom (27 mm) margins are preserved. One column of 38 lines is fully preserved. The ink is brown. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.
