Upper left papyrus (A), (P.Petr. II 12(2), P.Petr. III 29b, P.Lond. III 529a descr., TM 7412): Petition from a man whose name is damaged, asking the strategus to summon him and his opponent and requesting that the charges he has moved be investigated.
Upper right papyrus (B), (P.Petr. II 12(3), P.Petr. III 29c, Chrest. Mitt. 12, P.Lond. III 529 b descr., TM 7413): Petition from two men, asking the strategus to summon them and that the charges they moved against another man be inquired.
Lower papyrus (C), (P.Petr. II 12(EE4), P.Petr. III 29c, P.Lond. III 529 c descr., TM 7414): Beginning of a petition from Menes, mentioning a petition to the king; detached fragment with portions of two lines.

Fragmentary papyrus sheets from mummy cartonnage, displaying plaster residue; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank; mounted on cardboard in the same glass case.
Upper left papyrus (A): Broken off to the right, lacking the upper right corner, with few holes and surface damage in places; 15 lines, mutilated at the end, with a loss of 1-3 letters. Left, upper and lower margins partly survive. With modern annotation.
Upper right papyrus (B): Long and narrow, broken off at the bottom and with surface damage throughout; 21 lines, the last only having few traces.
Lower papyri (C): Fragment from the top of a sheet with detached fragment; portions of 4 lines are preserved on the upper fragment and parts of 2 lines on the lower fragment. With modern annotation.

Dimensions: A: 125 x 90 mm; B: 150 x 80 mm; C: 49 x 119 mm; D: 14 x 48 mm. Housed in a glass frame measuring 260 x 235 mm.
Script: A-B: Thick, upright cursive hands, uneven; C: Thin, upright cursive hand of medium size.

Origin: Arsinoite nome, Egypt.
Provenance: Gurob, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Destination: Krokodilopolis (Medinet el-Fayum), Egypt (?). Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 486-603 by Henry Martyn Kennard (b. 1833, d. 1911) in May 1895. The papyri had been extracted from mummy cartonnages found in Gurob by William Matthew Flinders Petrie (b. 1853, d. 1942) in 1889-1890.
