Three fragmentary declarations of witnesses concerning the lawsuit of Lamiske, wife of Parmeniskos.
Upper papyrus (A) (P.Petr. II 17(4), P.Petr. III 22(d), P.Lond. III 552a descr., TM 7398): Negative statement of a witness whose name is lost, mentioning a certain Timandros.
Middle papyrus (B) (P.Petr. II 17(2), P.Petr. III 22(b), P.Lond. III 552b descr., TM 7396): Declaration of Nephthichis, living in Krokodilopolis, who states that nothing happened. With summary on the back.
Lower Papyrus (C) (P.Petr. II 17(3), P.Petr. III 22(c), P.Lond. III 552c descr., TM 7397): Statement of a witness whose name is lost, living in Krokodilopolis, who did not see any argument between Attalos and Lamiske.

Three papyrus fragments reused as mummy cartonnage, darker in places, with traces of plaster on the surface; mounted on cardboard in the same glass case.
Upper papyrus (A): Broken off at the bottom and sides, with surface damage throughout; with portions of 11 lines written against the fibres; the back is blank.
Middle fragment (B): Broken off at the bottom and sides, darkened to the left and with surface damage throughout; on the front there are portions of 10 lines written against the fibres, one of which was added between lines, and traces at the top; the back bears one word written along the fibres.
Lower papyrus (C): Broken off at e sides, with surface damage in places; withines written against the fibres, lacking beginnings and ends; upper and lower margins survive; the back is blank.

Dimensions: A: 95 x 125 mm; B: 72 x 163 mm; C: 93 x 185mm. Housed in a glass frame measuring 335 x 230 mm.
Script: Cursive hands of small size; B: addition of a line; C: erasure and addition of a word above the line.

Origin: Krokodilopolis (Medinet el-Fayum), Egypt.
Provenance: Gurob, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 486-603 by Henry Martyn Kennard (b. 1833, d. 1911) in May 1895. The papyri had been extracted from mummy cartonnages found in Gurob by William Matthew Flinders Petrie (b. 1853, d. 1942) in 1889-1890.
