Two detached fragments from a papyrus sheet reused as mummy cartonnage, darkened in places and with residue of plaster; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. The upper fragment preserves 10 lines from the top of a column, the last being mutilated; the upper margin is extant and the left survives up to line 7. The lower fragment is the lower left corner of the sheet and bears portions of 4 lines and the lower margin. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Dimensions: Upper fragment: 81 x 137 mm; Lower fragment: 45 x 89 mm. Housed in a glass case measuring 205 x 185 mm.
Script: Regular thick cursive hand, slightly uneven towards the end, in very black ink; the last line is smaller.

Origin: Arsinoite nome, Egypt.
Provenance: Gurob, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 486-603 by Henry Martyn Kennard (b. 1833, d. 1911) in May 1895. The papyri had been extracted from mummy cartonnages found in Gurob by William Matthew Flinders Petrie (b. 1853, d. 1942) in 1889-1890.
