Aurelia Aphthonia, daughter of Taurinus, bequeaths her share of a house-property in Hermopolis to her son Asyncritius, but retains the usufruct for the remainder of her life. With Aphthonia’s subscription written by Aurelius Anouthis, deacon of Hermopolis and doctor, as she was illiterate, and with subscriptions of five witnesses at the end; the notarial subscription is followed by tachygraphic characters. The notary was Hermeias.

Papyrus with three detached scraps in the middle, darker by patches, broken off at the top, torn along the right edge and mutilated in the middle; with surface damage in places. Written on one side across the fibres, the back being blank. There is one column of 47 lines; left and lower margins survive; the right margin is minimal. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Dimensions: 626 x 295 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 685 x 355 mm.
Script: Neat, proficient and graceful cursive hand of big size, sloping to the right; lines tend to incline downwards; various hands for the subscriptions at the end; lines 34-39: second hand, upright cursive; lines 39-40: third hand: sloping detached hand, with some ligatured letters; lines 41-42: fourth hand: rough and unskilled cursive hand in faded ink; lines 42-43: fifth hand, rapid and proficient sloping cursive hand; lines 43-44: sixth hand: small, neat, regular hand, with some ligatured letters; lines 45-46: Thin and small upright cursive hand, with some detached letters; line 47: notarial subscription in rapid cursive hand, followed by tachygraphic characters.
