Fragmentary letter of Didymus, clerck of the panel of Greek judges (chrematistai) to Antipater, mentioning Nechthminis and instructing the recipient to report to the other priests. The document concerns a dispute over land between the priests of Pathyris and those of Hermonthis. With traces of the docket and address on the back.

Fragments of a papyrus sheet, lacking most of its right-hand side and a strip in the middle, and damaged by few holes in the preserved portion. The front bears 8 lines, with a gap between lines 3 and 4; of line 4 only few traces remain; lines 1-3 and 5-6 lack the ends. The ends of lines 2 and 3 are preserved by a papyrus in Heidelberg inventoried as P.G. 1304. The writing on the back runs along the fibres and is the other way up in relation to the text on the front. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Dimensions: upper fragment: 65 x 33 mm; lower fragment:: 102 x 259 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 245 x 305 mm.
Script: Large, thin, regular and neat upright hand, exhibiting serifs and ligatures in places.

Origin: Ptolemais Hermeiou (El-Mansha) Egypt.
Provenance: Pathyris (Gebelein), Pathyrite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 605-650 from Bernard Pyne Grenfell (b. 1869, d. 1926) on 9 November 1895.
