Official letters concerning the order to pay 34 talents and 100 artabas of wheat to two boats hauling grain.
Lines 1-8: Order to Demetrius from Hermias, who instructs him to pay 34 talents from the bank of Pathyris, and encloses previous letters.
Lines 9-16: Letter of Hermonax to Hermias, ordering the payment of 34 talents and 100 artabas of wheat and enclosing the order of the chief financial official (dioecetes) Ptolemaeus. Dated to 21 April 108 BC.
Lines 17-21: Letter of Ptolemaeus to Hermonax, with the order to pay 8 talents, 3000 drachmas and 25 artabas of wheat per month to the boats expediting grain. Dated to 10 January 108 BC.
Lines 22-end: Subscriptions.

Papyrus sheet, with light-coloured patches and dark spots at the top, complete but damaged by holes. Writing runs along the fibres on both sides, the back bearing one line with Greek and Demotic. On the front there is one column. All margins are extant, the right being minimal. A sheet-join runs along the height of the sheet at 105-110 mm from the left edge; a small strip of vertical fibres is visible in the lower half of the sheet. The papyrus is housed in a glass case.

Dimensions: 310 x 212 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 340 x 180 mm.
Script: Thin, small cursive hand, with some elongated and hooked strokes; the subscriptions at the end are rougher and more cursive. Verso with Greek and Demotic text: Greek text: Thin, large, upright hand, with detached letters, mostly bilinear.
