Papyrus sheet, darker by patches, somewhat damaged along the vertical folds. Writing is on one side along the fibres. The upper and left margins measure 15 mm, and the blank space at the bottom 40 mm. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Script: Body of the document: Fluent cursive. Different hands for the subscriptions: hand 2 in line 16, sloping cursive; hand 3 in line 21, slow and detached; hand 4 in line 22, small, rapid and cursive.

The papyrus is part of the Archive of the Nekrotaphoi of the Oasis (TM Arch ID 147).
The document was written by Philinus alias Theognostus, who is mentioned in P.Nekr. 21. The grantor may be the son of Petosiris son of Petechon who occurs in P.Nekr. 10 (BL Papyrus 711).
The deed was copied forty years later: see P.Nekr. 21 (BL Papyrus 710 + a fragment in the Sackler Library, Oxford).
