A petition to Satrius Arrianus from Syrus, son of Petechon, funerary worker (nekrotaphos), who reports that his wife Tseke and their children, although they are freeborn, have been imprisoned by another family of funerary workers. When he tried to free them, Syrus was beaten. He now asks that his children be released. With subscription at the end; the name of the scribe who wrote on behalf of Syrus is lost.

Fragments of varying size from a papyrus sheet, written on one side along the fibres; one of this remain unplaced and is in a different hand. Further fragments of the same sheet are housed in the Sackler Library, Oxford, and contain the beginnings of lines 14-16, 20-21 and 23-36. The margins are 20 mm at the left, 15 at the top, 55 at the bottom, and less than 5 at the right. The back is blank. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.
