Agreement between Marcus Antonius Ptolemaeus and Dionysius, son of Theon, from Oxyrhynchus, whereby Dionysius is being appointed as the agent for the sale of two slaves belonging to Ptolemaeus, Diogas alias Nilus, aged 40, and Diogas, aged 30. Dated in the 3rd year of Domitian, Phaophi 28 (26 October 83).

Fully preserved papyrus sheet, written along the fibres, with one column of writing occupying less than one third of it, followed by blank space. Mounted on cardboard and housed in one glass frame. Number 94 in red refers to the publication in P.Oxy I.

Dimensions: 365 x 105 mm. Housed in one glass case measuring 420 x 155 mm.
Script: Fine, small and thin semi-uncial; a thicker cursive hand in a different ink made a few corrections.

Origin: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt.
Provenance: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 739-834 by the Egypt Exploration Fund in October 1900. Of these, papyri 739-814 form part of the discoveries made by B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt on the site of the ancient Oxyrhynchus.
