One-year lease of nine arouras of land, the lessor being Aurelia Antiochia alias Dionysia, daughter of Antiochus alias Dionysius, former magistrate in Alexandria, and the lessee Aurelius Dioscorus, son of Apollonius, from Oxyrhynchus. The land, located in the Oxyrhynchite nome, is to be sown with flax, and the rent is 1 talent and 3500 drachmas per aroura. The lessor acknowledges receipt of 4 talents, the remaining sum to be paid after the harvest. With consular date at the beginning and regnal year at the end, followed by the autograph subscription of Aurelia Antiochia and the notarial subscription of Apion.

Papyrus sheet written on one side along the fibres, with the first line being somewhat damaged, but overall well preserved; mounted on cardboard and housed in one glass case. Number 102 in red refers to the publication in P.Oxy I.

Provenance: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 739-834 by the Egypt Exploration Fund in October 1900. Of these, papyri 739-814 form part of the discoveries made by B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt on the site of the ancient Oxyrhynchus.
