Three receipts for money taxes paid by Pamouthius, pronoetes (administrator) of the hamlet of Leon in the Oxyrhynchite nome, in the 13th indiction, signed by the banker Philoxenus. The receipts display the same phrasing and are written by the same hand; some blank space was left in between them. The total is given on the back.
Lines 1-5: First receipt dated in Tybi 15 (10 January 535);
Lines 6-10: Second receipt dated in Phamenoth 16 (12 March 535);
Lines 11-16: Third receipt dated in Mesore 10 (3 August 535).

Provenance: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 739-834 by the Egypt Exploration Fund in October 1900. Of these, papyri 739-814 form part of the discoveries made by B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt on the site of the ancient Oxyrhynchus.
