Slip of papyrus, written on one side across the fibres, the back being blank. It contains three words arranged in three lines; all margins are extant, the upper, left, and bottom being minimal. The right margin measures 70 mm. The tag would have been pasted to the outside of the roll to help identify the content. The number in red refers to the publication in P.Oxy. II. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Script: Good-sized round uncial hand, upright and overall bilinear.

Origin: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt.
Provenance: Oxyrhynchus, Oxyrhynchite nome, Egypt. Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 739-834 by the Egypt Exploration Fund in October 1900. Of these, papyri 739-814 form part of the discoveries made by B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt on the site of the ancient Oxyrhynchus.
