Papyrus 1177(1), Columns 1-2 (column 1 only having a few traces): Remains of an account with sums stated in drachmas, with the total at the end and rough notes in a different hand.
Papyrus 1177(1), Column 3: Further accounts in a fast cursive hand, also found throughout the recto, in the margins of the following columns.
Papyrus 1177(1), Column 4-Papyrus 1177(3), Column 8 (SB XXVI 16652, P.Lond. III 1157, Chrest.Wilck. 193, Sel.Pap. II 406, CPJ II 432, TM 11763): Accounts of the water system of Ptolemais Euergetis, addressed to Demetrius, former gymnasiarch and auditor, from four overseers (phrontistai), Crispus alias Sarapion, Mysthas alias Ptolemaeus, Mysthas son of Didymus and Sotas son of Zoilus. 17 columns are preserved: 3 in Papyrus 1177(1), 6 in Papyrus 1177(2) and 8 in Papyrus 1177(3), the last three being damaged. The accounts concern revenue and expenditures for the reservoirs and fountains of the city, which include payments to contractors, animal labour, supplies and various materials for maintenance works.

Script: Recto: Small cursive hand; additional hands, less neat. Verso: Irregular and straggling cursive hand.
