- Fragment of a papyrus roll, with severe surface damage on the left-hand side; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front, there are portions of 3 columns, with the first and second badly mutilated. Upper and lower margin partly survive. The annotation in red refers to the publication in P.Fay. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Dimensions: 223 x 295 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 270 x 355 mm.
Script: Fair-sized hand, regular and bilinear, with some serifs, alternating with a smaller-sized hand.

Origin: Egypt.
Provenance: Karanis (Kom Aushim), meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Part of the discoveries made by B. P. Grenfell and A. S. Hunt in the Fayum, on the site of the ancient Karanis, Kôm Ushîm (1895–6). Presented as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1180-1199 by the Egypt Exploration Fund in November 1903.
