An application addressed to the strategus Philonicus, the royal scribe Hermodorus, to two keepers of the public archives, both called Dionysius, and to Apollonius, former exegetes and scribe, from Apollonius, who states that his house-born slave boy has reached the age of 13. Because his fiscal status was the same as his master, Apollonius states that he is among those paying the poll-tax at a reduced rate of 12 drachmas. The left margin is extant, no margin was left at the right and the blank at the bottom measures 145 mm. A sheet-join runs along the height of the sheet at c. 10 mm from the right edge. The number in red refers to the publication in P.Oxy. IV. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.
