Two brothers, Gaius Marcius Apion alias Diogenes and Gaius Marcius Apollinarius alias Iulianus, write to the archidikastes stating that they authorize Ophelas, agent of their properties in the Oxyrhynchite nome, to act as a guardian of their brother’s children and to conduct their business during their absence from Egypt. With dating clause and subscription at the end.

Papyrus sheet, mutilated at the top in the upper margin and with holes throughout, especially along the folding lines; otherwise well preserved. Writing runs along the fibres on one side, the back being blank. There is one column of 32 lines; left margin is extant, no margin was left to the right, the upper margin is lost and the blank at the bottom measures 120 mm. The number in red refers to the publication in P.Oxy. IV. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.
