Fragment of Old Latin Genesis (P.Lond.Lit. 200, P.Oxy. VIII 1073, TM 62044, LDAB 3203)
- Scope & Content:
-
Fragment of Old Latin Genesis containing 5:4-13, 29-31, 6:1-2.
It preserves some verses not otherwise attested (vv. 3-7; 15-25; 30-31) and it cites a text not always coincident with other witnesses. Some divergences may be attributed to inexact quotation, others to a different recension, perhaps close to the Greek tradition (e.g. vv. 28-30). First assigned to the fourth century (Hunt; Milne) and then to the end of the fifth (Lowe; Mercati; Radiciotti; Ammirati).
