Official correspondence concerning the purchase of some formerly ownerless wood by Didymus, son of Heraclides, including:
line 1: ‘Kerkeura, tree branches’;
lines 2-6: letter of Sarapion, district secretary (topogrammateus) of the Middle Toparchy, to Peteuris, village scribe (komogrammateus) of Kerkeura, instructing him to investigate on the purchase of wood and enclosing earlier correspondence;
lines 7-13: letter from Dioscurides, royal scribe (basilikogrammateus), to Sarapion, Peteuris and Dionysius, village scribe (komogrammateus) of Peenno;
lines 14-17: letter of the official responsible for the ‘special’ or ‘private’ account (idios logos, with revenues from state properties, ownerless or confiscated land) Quintus Attius Fronto to Dioscurides, royal scribe, with the request to verify the details of the purchase and value of the wood;
lines 18-26: application of the purchaser, Didymus, son of Heraclides, to Fronto;
line 27-end: official dockets and dates.

Papyrus sheet, complete and in fair condition, with few insect holes in the lower part and damage along the vertical folds, especially on the left-hand side; written on one side, the back being blank. The front bears 29 lines; margins are extant, with the lower being wide. A sheet-join runs vertically to the right of the centre. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Script: Three thin cursive hands of small size, with a tendency to be compressed at the end of the lines.
