Provenance: Wadi Sarga, Egypt. Presented by Byzantine Research Fund, having funded the excavations conducted on the site by Reginald Campbell Thompson (b. 1876, d. 1941), in 1913-1914. Transferred from the Department of British and Medieval Antiquities of the British Museum on 4 August 1921.
