Recto (P.Oxy. X 1242 ro. descr., TM 111047): Second-century copies of contracts of lease; the three columns preserved are numbered 34-36 at the top. Unpublished.
Verso (P.Oxy. X 1242 vo., TM 58941, LDAB 36): Acta Heraisci, narrating the hearing of an Alexandrian embassy before the emperor Trajan. The group included Hermaiscus, Paulus and Theon; the six Jewish delegates were represented by Sopater. Trajan and Plotina were in favour of the Jews, and the preserved portion recounts a dialogue between Trajan and Hermaiscus. The papyrus breaks off with the mention that the bust of Serapis, brought by the Alexandrians to Rome, started to sweat.

Portion of a medium-dark-brown papyrus roll with detached scraps, written on both sides. On the front, there are four columns written along the fibres, lacking the bottom. On the back, there are parts of four consecutive columns lacking the tops, written across the fibres, the other way up in relation to the text on the front; the column width varies between 85 and 125 mm; the lower margin measures 25 mm. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
