A petition to the prefect from a woman named Aurelia Thaisous alias Lolliane, who claims the right to be independent and act without a guardian in her legal transactions on the grounds of being the mother of three children (ius trium liberorum). She stresses to be literate, and requests that this petition be kept in the office of the prefect. The annotation at the end confirms that the document is to be kept there.

A papyrus sheet, broken at the top and damaged by holes throughout. Writing is on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. The text, arranged in one column, is incomplete, lacking a few lines at the beginning. The blank space at the bottom measures 82 mm. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass case.

Script: Regular upright hand, with ligatured sequences of letters. Diaeresis on upsilon and iota occurs.
