Fragment of a sheet from a codex containing the Gospel of John (Gregory-Aland P5; P. Lond. Lit. 213; P. Oxy. XV 1781; TM 61630), containing part of chapter 16. On the recto (written along the fibres) are parts of John 16:14-22. On the verso (written across the fibres) are parts of John 16:22-30. Another fragment from the same codex, containing parts of chapters 1 and 20, is Papyrus 782.

Dimensions: 245 x 70 mm, mounted in a glass case measuring 290 x 125 mm. Original dimensions estimated at 250 x 125 mm (Turner p. 145).
Ruling: 1 column, originally having 27 lines per page (Turner p. 145).
Script: Upright rather heavy semi-uncial hand. Punctuation by short blank spaces. Occasional rough breathings. Nomina sacra.
